I arrive at the most intrinsic of human instinct; the senses. In particular, scent. Scent has strange power and capacity to ignite all the other senses in its wake; it conjures memory, triggers emotion, and instigates physical reaction. By playing with the idea of scent as experience-maker, I look to create a sort of aromatherapy for the club kid in isolation. Bottled memories of familiar scenarios which, when inhaled, allow the body to return to spaces it can no longer inhabit: the night club, the bathhouse, the theatre.
