Sir Norman Foster (Manchester, 1945) studied architecture in the city of his birth and at Yale. He was the cofounder of Team 4, an enterprise that developed a number of innovative housing projects. The breakup of this group coincided with Foster’s years of cooperation with Buckminster Fuller and his entrance into the Architectural Association.
